Spiritual Authority and Temporal Power
As was shown in the Doctrine of Castes, a person’s caste is the reflection of his nature, hence of his function in society. These functions, then, form a hierarchical relationship among each other. The first such relationship is that between Spiritual Authority, held by the Brahmins, and Temporal Power, held by the Kshatriyas. This differs from a theocracy, since the Brahmins hold no political power, but would serve instead as advisors to the Kshatriyas.
So, from one perspective, the Brahmins are superior to the Kshatriyas, yet from another perspective, the principles of spiritual authority, or wisdom, and temporal power, or strength, are two aspects of a more fundamental principle. Corresponding to these two castes are the roles of Pope (or High Priest) and Emperor (or King). When the fundamental principle is forgotten, the two roles are held by different men. Yet knowledge and action cannot be separated like that, just as the head that directs cannot be separated from the body that acts. Thus the two roles by right should be joined in a Philosopher King.
Guenon points out that in the story of the Magi-Kings bearing gifts, or in the idea of Christ being both Priest and King, the West was once aware of this unifying principle.
Brahmins
The social function of the Brahmins, or priesthood, is the conservation and transmission of traditional doctrine. Individually, the Brahmin is oriented toward achieving transhuman states, or the Transcendental Man. He follows the path of intellection, or Jana Yoga.
Kshatriyas
The Kshatriyas have two functions:
- Administrative and judicial directed toward the maintenance of internal order
- Military directed toward protecting the social organization from external threats
On the individual level, the Kshatriya is oriented toward the realization of all his possibilities in the human state, or the True Man. (A dim remembrance of this is in the motto of the US Army: “Be all that you can be”.) He follows the path of Bhakti Yoga, and is more emotive. Thus the Kshatriyas need to get “pumped up” with inspirational rhetoric and grand ideas, or else with anger against opponents.
Synarchy
In Synarchy, as described in Campanella’s City of the Sun, and developed more fully by Saint-Yves d’Alveydre, a third function is added, under the authority of the Vaishya caste. This is all economic activity of agriculture, trade, manufacture, medicine, and so on. Of course, this is subordinated to the spiritual authority and temporal order.
Servile Class
The Shudras, or servile class, is in some sense close to the Brahmin caste since it is the unconscious reflection of spiritual authority. Provided there is no false resentment resulting from outside agitation, the unconscious instincts of this caste correspond to the conscious intuitions of the Brahmins. If the teaching function is done well, what the Brahmin knows is identical to what the shudra believes by means of the myths and rites.
Degeneration of the Castes
This harmonious social order is the reflection of the cosmological Unity of Being. The degeneration of castes disturbs this harmony. The Kshatriyas may be unjust, thus creating internal disorder, or they may fail to protect against external threats. Note that these threats are not necessarily military, since they may come in other forms.
The Vaishyas may make economic gain the sole end, so they put their efforts into speculation rather than productive activity. They reject the spiritual teachings on usury, just prices and just wages. Through manipulation of capital they may concentrate wealth in a few hands rather than in a wider distribution. (This is not post facto “wealth redistribution”.)
The other castes may begin to spurn or mock the shudras, creating resentment. Their nous, or intelligence, is only virtual, so they follow the superior castes, which should have actual intelligence (as understood metaphysically). Once this arrangement is broken down, the erotic and thumotic drives lack any constraint.
Samir, the chip in your shoulder against Hindus certainly doesn’t stop you from carrying out their tradition of spamming absolute nonsense in completely off-topic comment sections. Also, why this doesn’t get moderated is beyond me.
What is the story of the evolution of the dress sense of an Indian ?
where would the Indians be w/o the Mughals and Greeks and Brits ?
The Mughals civilised the Hindoo ! Hindoo women used to move around top less with just a triangle shaped loin cloth and used to pierce their breasts !
Babar & the Mughals civilised the Hindoos ! Read this verse from the Ramayana – when Ravana describes Seeta ! dindooohindoo ! This will nail the contribution of Mughals to Hindooism and India !

“Your hips are beamy, thighs burly akin to elephant’s trunks, & these two breasts of yours that are ornamented with best jewellery are rotund, rubbing &bumping each other, &they are swinging up & up, their nipples are brawny &jutting out, & they are smoothish like palm-fruits, thus they are covetable for they are beautiful.
“Oh, allurer, your smile is alluring, teeth are alluring, &your eyes allure, oh, beauty, your waist is palmful, your hair velvety, your breasts are jostling, &you rob my soul as a spate robs riverbank. [3-46-21, 22a]
It will be obvious EVEN to the AG of the Indian Government, that Seeta was topless &wearing a loincloth – and prancing her wares in front of Ravana. THE MUGHALS TAUGHT THE HINDOOS TO WEAR CLOTHES & DO PROPER ABLUTIONS !
You have to give credit when and where it is due
The evil, greed and avarice of the Brahmin scum is recorded in the Vedas and Dindoo scriptures
https://dindooohindoo.page.tl/Evil-of-Brahmin-Madarchods.htm
What does Krishna say of the Brahmin scum ?
Krishna refers to the “Vedas and the Brahmins”, as under :
O son of Prithâ! who are strongly attached to (worldly) pleasures and power, and whose minds are drawn away by “that flowery talk which is full of (ordinances of) specific acts”, for the “attainment of (those) pleasures and (that) power”, and which promises birth, as the “fruit of acts (that flowery talk)” which those unwise ones utter, who are “enamoured of Vedic words”, who say there is nothing else, who are full of desires..

The Curse of the Brahmins
The Biggest stigma of a Rape victim is that she is not a virgin !
But there is a solution !
How to restore virginity as per the Hindoo Vedas – and Brahmin evil
https://dindooohindoo.page.tl/Purana-%3D-How-to-become-a-virgin.htm
“A woman who has been unchaste should worship Siva in his calm aspect, Siva who is Kama.
Then she should summon a Brahmin and give herself to him, thinking, ‘This is Kama who has
come for the sake of sexual pleasure.’ And whatever the Brahmin wishes, the sensuous
woman should do.
For thirteen months she should honour in this way any Brahmin who comes to the house for the sake of sexual pleasures, & there is no immorality in this for “noble ladies or prostitutes ”
Matsya Purana 70:40-60; cf. Mahabharata III:2:23.
All the evil in Dindoosthan has its genesis in the Brahmins !
They have stopped at nothing and can stoop to any level ! Ripping of the Dalits – is just nothing !
Including Pimping -to earn money and this all in the Vedas !

The Mahabharata, Book 5: Udyoga Parva: Bhagwat Yana Parva: Section CXV
· Therefore, O Galava, take thou this daughter of mine, this perpetrator of four families. In beauty, she resembleth a daughter of the celestials. She is capable of prompting every virtue. Indeed, owing to her beauty, she is always solicited (at my hands) by gods and men, and Asuras.
· Let alone twice four hundred steeds each with a black ear, the kings of the earth will give away their whole kingdoms as her dower. Take thou, therefore, this daughter of mine, named Madhavi. My sole desire is that I may have a daughter’s son by her.
· Accepting that daughter in gift, Galava then, with Garuda, went away, saying, ‘We will again see thee’. And they took that maiden with them.
· And after the prince of birds had gone, Galava, with that maiden in his company, began to think of going to some one among the kings who would be able to give (fit) dower for the maiden. And he first thought of that best of kings,Haryyaswa of Ikshaku’s race, who ruled at Ayodhya, was endued with great energy, possessed of a large army consisting of four kinds of forces, had a well-filled treasury and abundance of corn.
· And the Brahmana Galava, repairing unto Haryyaswa, said, ‘This maiden, O king of kings, will increase the family of her husband by bringing forth offspring. Accept her from me, O Haryyaswa, as thy wife, by giving me a dower. I will tell thee what dower thou shalt have to give. Hearing it, settle what thou shalt do.’”
What does the Hindoo Think of the Dalits ?
The Dalits and Sudras needs to secede !
Dalits need to Read the Gita !
The Gita allows the discrimination of Lower Castes ! If the Hindoos treat their own like dirt – what will they do for the Kashmiris ?
The concept of classes of humans ordained in this birth and the next birth where redemption is obtained by perpetual misery and suffering of the lower classes is anathema to Islam !
This the injunction of the Gita delivered by their God – Krishna
https://dindooohindoo.page.tl/Caste-Justification.htm
“It is far better to perform one’s svadharma (prescribed duties), even though faultily, than another’s duties perfectly. Destruction in the course of performing one’s own duty is better than engaging in another’s duties, for to follow another’s path is dangerous.” – Bhagavad-Gita 3:35.
“According to the three modes of material nature (goodness, passion, ignorance) and the work associated with them, the four divisions of human society (Brahmin/KsHatriya/Vaisya/Sudra) are created by Me .And although I am the creator of this system, you should know that I am yet the nondoer, being unchangeable.” — Bhagavad-Gita 4:13.
What Mutiny ?
The Hindoos had no chance !
Who were the Hindoo warriors ? The Kshatriyas ! dindooohindoo !
Kshatriyas – As per the Mahabharata, Kshatriyas were born, when Kshatriya women (on heat) “were raped by Brahmins”, w/o marriage and hence, were “born as a bastard race” with the “zero IQ and potency of Brahmins” and the “cowardice, treachery and chicanery of the Brahmins”
SECTION LXIV – Mahbharata – Adivansavatarana Parva
The son of Jamadagni (Parasurama), after twenty-one times making the earth bereft of Kshatriyas wended to that best of mountains Mahendra and there began his ascetic penances.
And at that time when the earth was bereft of Kshatriyas, the Kshatriya ladies, “desirous of offspring”, used to come, O monarch, to the Brahmanas and Brahmanas of rigid vows had connection with them during the womanly season alone, but never, O king, lustfully and out of season.
And Kshatriya ladies by “thousands conceived from such connection” with Brahmanas.
Jats
The Hindoo Bindoo claim that Jats are born from the “Jata of Shankar”
Jats are proven to be of “Central Asian/Scythian Origin”, and were “basically pirates, bandits and mercenaries”.
Their only claim to fame is the “sacking of the TajMahal”, which they looted and pillaged, and made their own Jai Mahal, and their “digging up and defiling” of the “grave and bones”, of Akbar (by dragging the bones out)
Rajputs
“The word “Rajput” is used in certain parts of Rajasthan to denote the illegitimate sons of a Kshatriya chief or Jagirdar.” [Mahajan Vidya Dhar,”Ancient India”, Fifth Edition, Reprint 1972, Chand and Co., New Delhi. p. 550 ff.])
This explains Rajput history – QED !
Sikhs
A race pillaged the Dindoo Brahmins and Dogra rat Rajputs, who had their Gurus killed due to Dindoo Hindoos and whose Golden Temple was under the Control of Brahmins with Hindoo Idols in it (till around early 1900s).Their Constantine – Ranjit achieved his victory only due to the American and French Generals – running his artillery and cavalry !
After the death of Ranjit Singh his wife and sons were killed by the Dogra Rats
Yadavs
As per the Gita, Lord Krishna considered Yadav’s to be “a curse on the planet and tried to exterminate all the Yadavs”
When Krsna had killed the demons, and thus relieved the burden of the earth, he thought, ‘The earth is stilloverburdened by the unbearably burdensome race of the Yadus. No one else can overcome them, since theyare under my protection.’ … Deluded by Krsna’s power of delusion, and cursed by the Brahmins, they were all destroyed, and when his entire family had been destroyed, Krsna said, ‘The burden has been removed.’ ” — Srimad Bhagavatam 10:90:27-44; 11:1:1-4; 11:30:1-25
As per the Mahabharata, after Krishna was killed, “his wives were raped and molested by Robbers”, and the “offspring so born”, were called Yadavs
Mahabharata, Book 16: Mausala Parva: Section 7
The concourse was very large. The robbers assailed it at different points. Arjuna tried his best to protect it, “but could not succeed”. In the very sight of all the warriors, many “foremost of ladies were dragged away, while others went away with the robbers of their own accord” .
Those Mlecchas, however, O Janamejaya, in the very sight of Partha, retreated,”taking away” with them, many “foremost ladies” of the Vrishnis and Andhakas
This explains Yadav history – QED !

That is true the corruption of the Brahmins leads to the corruption of the entire order, but corruption of rulers is also important. Take for example the Rajput Kshatriyas in India. Intially they fought against the Muslims with bravery. Then they quarrelled amongst themselves and stooped so low as to begin to give their daughters to the Muslims who were Turko-Mongols of a slave dynasty, and forgot their original ideals of bravery and sacrifice for the land. However intelligent Brahmin advisors might be, if you have a stupid King then all proves pointless.
So there is a delicate balance between Kingship and Priesthood…
This is an excellent article. May I ask whether you meant to say: “On the individual level, the KSHATRIYA is oriented toward the realization of all his possibilities in the human state”? The Brahmin, as you state, is oriented towards the realisation of the possibilities inherent within the suprahuman state and therefore has his ground and starting-point above the level upon which the Kshatriya operates. Full realisation of all human possibilities would not begin to touch that with which the Brahmin is concerned.
I would also add that disruption of an otherwise harmonious social order may also occur much more directly through the corruption of members of the Brahmin caste. Guenon hardly mentions it, and you do not, but it is surely the most fundamental disorder. A Brahmin whose personal nature, concerns and behaviour were of an order lower than that of his caste would have a disastrous effect upon all the other orders and, hence, upon his entire society. When such a disordered being holds a key position and fails to discharge his very precise responsibilities, the consequences cascade downward and reverberate in the most profound ways. Consider how often this has occurred. Consider how many have turned away from true religion because of it. It is easy to blame usurping Kshatryias but it is this alone that allows the subsequent wreckage to occur. If the Brahmins did not depart from their proper order, how could later, inferior sources of disorder gain purchase in a society in which suprahuman possibilities are daily made manifest to all?
In the course of human civilization, was entrusted the responsibility of what is called material and spiritual to the Kings,(the rulers) and the Priests respectively, but neither could rise to the expected hight. The false ego super-dominated the Kings, the rulers. It has been observed in every age, that most of the preachings by thinkers to correct this anomaly went in vain.
‘Such was the disgust of Plato, leading him to declare that no solution would emerge “till philosophers become Kingsin this world.” The Sages of ancient India solved this enigma by urging a conjunction of the king with the priest, as out of this union would emerge a government based on Dharma which would result in the happiness of the subjects.’
The priest, i.e., The Divine and the King, the ruler, are within… and the whole of this science has to do with a victory over the powers of perception and action.Only he can rule over others whi rules over himself.
Cast in Dharma signified the inherent nature and capability on the individuals, and NOT giving any weight to birth and material inheritance, story of Yajnavalkya in Kathaupanishad is enough to show it,
But in the course of time this intent was overtaken by the birth and material inheritance, and the false ego, the force behind it have been so strong, blinded the intellect
Cast, as it is interpreted by “modern” literate thinkers is not the cast that was originally suggested.
We still have, more or less, the same pattern but with new nomeneclatures, we have clarks, sweepers, executives, presidents…. all presuming specific qualities and capabilities in respective persons without giving attention to their birth inheritances…but defy and fail to give due credits to the tradition we have been and still are and the future generations shall be in.
Magnificent article The best I have ever read on Gornahoor thus far.
