I was dining with a dear friend, and she brought up the topic of Gornahoor. Her point was that when she tries to read the blog, she seems to get stuck on some point she can’t understand. What is the point of writing for only a few thousand people in the world? You need to apply the principles and actually identify the occult forces behind the happenings of world events.
My quick response was that few are capable of writing such a blog and I am only interested in those who do understand it and participate in the discussions. Nevertheless, she insisted there is value in explaining more. There are many, she said, who would gain from the application of principles even if they are put off by abstract arguments.
This week we will reach 300,000 page views. Of course, that includes search engines as well as those who show up by accident. The latter are usually disappointed as the search for African Ass will show, not to mention school kids working on a science project on Hermit Crabs. Ordinarily, I would not be inclined to heed such advice, but these are the dog days of summer and Cologero is hot and tired. There are now nearly 700 posts on-line. Although there is no shortage of topics, there is a point of diminishing returns. So I agreed, as a temporary experiment, to include, once per week, a post on relevant topics such as “game”, hbd, iq, guns, today’s news, and so on. This will be done with the intent to determine what well bred men consider healthy minded and normal. Here is your chance to agree or disagree with my friend.

Of course there will come a point when this medium will become almost useless for your project. By its nature it depends on new material, and while in one sense you could say that the material for expounding on Tradition is limitless, it seems like its unity will cause things to start getting repetitive. Also, the amount of mental processing most posts take, when combined with the extreme contrast with the modern perspective that most of your readers are living with, makes it somewhat unlikely that even a sympathetic but confused, accidental reader will perceive what you are about and dig deeper.
I think one way to improve the odds of people who could potentially understand sticking around and putting forth the necessary effort would be to organize by theme. This way if someone hears something they want to understand better in a post, they can easily find a broader explanation. You used to have a side bar with links to posts that mention certain topics or people, but I’m talking about a more general grouping, organized not by date but by logical progression. Have you ever been to the blog Less Wrong? They’re an amusingly self-satisfied, too-clever bunch and I don’t recommend hanging around there, but the way they organize threads is excellent.
That ignorance is actually reassuring, Justin. At one time, we used to get visitors and links from such web sites, but apparently they have been abandoning Gornahoor. Nevertheless, we will attempt, through parody, to discuss the same issues but in a way, we believe, more consistent with Tradition.
